Culinary journey of Cappadocia
The Restaurant
Our story in Cappadocia began in 2005 when our mother Monique visited Uçhisar with her friends and fell in love with a ruin that had a grapevine on it. Eventually, that ruin transformed into the first rooms of Taskonaklar Hotel with the grapevine still intact, leading our way to become one of the leading hotels of Cappadocia with the final touch as our restaurant Moniq.
Cappadocia comprises a large area* but more importantly a diverse culture and cuisine, with Greeks, Armenians, and Turks living all together in peace for hundreds of years. Our main ambition at Moniq is to enhance the Cappadocia experience of our guests. For this, we have created a menu with regional dishes and local touches on each plate, sourcing locally as much as possible.
